Great date spot, amazing service Walked in and was able to get a high top for two, our server was so sweet and attentive the whole time Ordered ravioli and wild boar pasta Wild boar pasta was rich and flavourful, the meatballs were somehow the lightest part of the dish, worked well with the rest of the dish. Mushrooms were the star of the show, juicy, flavourful, so stupidly delicious Ravioli was also delicious, stuffed with shrimp, crab and lobster. The whole dish was surprising sweet, all the sweetness came from the seafood and onions. Asked for a little salt on top and that brought out the flavours even more The pasta for both dishes were cooked to perfection Ordered the yuzu matcha cheesecake for dessert, it was dense and rich but not too heavyPosted on Google

Unfortunate experience tonight. We come to Piva frequently and usually enjoy the delicious pasta and pizza, but today the kitchen was horrendously off. The pasta was so bland and oily that we opted to not even try a remake. The pizza came out completely wrong (a wild mushroom pizza with no mushrooms), and they failed to mention that the vegan version is completely different from the description opposed to a vegan version of the described pizza (which is what one would expect unless told otherwise). Not to mention the crust was so floppy it couldn’t hold any of the toppings…just so poorly made it was inedible. And they still charged us for it, after waiting about an hour for two terrible pizzas. I've also sampled the Wild Boar, Gnocchi Cardinale and Bistecca - all well prepared, presented and of course delicious. My favourite pasta so far is the Wild Boar. But there's so much more to try.. The bolonese pasta was mostly mushrooms, hardly any meat. The meatballs were served in a sauce so watery is was basically a mushroom soup, and tasted a bit dry. Didn't want to bother our server, as she can't change the ingredients they use, however for the price tag on the items I'd expect higher quality ingredients to be used.Posted on Google

K/1 christiefAugust 6, 2026Today was my first time at Priva. It is a beautiful space and we were greeted by friendly staff. Had the best truffle fries we had ever had and good cocktails/mocktails. Unfortunately, our server and the kitchen made several errors with our food. The pizza was missing a key ingredient, and then they just brought it to me on a plate to add myself. Our friend ordered a GF dish but they brought one with gluten. They were good about it, and I understand that mistakes happen, but when they brought out her dish the next time, it was not what she ordered, but it was GF. She just ate it because the rest of us were already well into our meals. I understand that mistakes happen. The food we were served was tastey. However, I felt not enough was done to account for their mistakes or to make us feel cared for throughout the experience. It was disappointing, as we were celebrating a special day. I would not return or recommend this restaurant to others for these reasons. Unfortunately, I didn’t realize had strict brunch/lunch service times so we only had the breakfast/brunch menu available to is when we arrived at around 1-ish. No matter - I had wanted to try their chicken and waffles regardless. My mom had the steak and eggs and my brother had the margherita pizza with a side of waffle. I loved the chicken and waffles. It wasn't too greasy and the flavour was tasty but also unexpected. My mom and I shared the tiramisu sundae for dessert and my brother had the flourless chocolate cake. The cake was rich, chocolatey goodness and the ice cream in the sundae was amazing! Service was excellent and it wasn't packed when we got there at 1 but it started to get busy when we left. Since I stayed longer than I had to I was expecting compensation in return especially at a high quality restaurant, but it was never offered. My time was definitely not being respected! Don't come here on a bad day because if anything happens, I'm not sure if it will get compensated! The food was fresh and tasted great and the menu has unique seasonal selections! The service was stellar - our server, she was attentive even though she seemed to be doing drinks for most of the other orders. We started with the Duck Confit pizza to share. It was delicious - the thin crust was crispy yet the crust itself was fairly doughy underneath the crunch. The toppings really melded together well, not oily or too salty. My wife had the Fettuccini, which had tomatoes, scallops, and prawns. They give a good portion of seafood she felt and she also liked how the prawns had their tails removed. I had the spaghetti, which was in a meat sauce with mushroom, veal, and sausage. It was very delicious, with a generous helping of sauce that was rich and full of flavour. My wife ordered a chocolate vanilla martini - it is sweet and comes with two cherries dunked in chocolate...and I think rum? She was happy and enjoyed it as a dessert. The manager knew it was our anniversary and brought us two desserts and two glasses of Moscato. We let him choose his two favourite desserts - For Nonna and the Lemon Tart. Both were exceptional, though we both enjoyed For Nonna a little more. We highly recommend going there. We will definitely go back. The service was excellent and the food is great. Portion-size is fairly big as well. Anti-pasto was good as it has smoked salmon, deli meats, olives, beets and cheese. Its a big plate that’s good enough for 3-4 people. A variety of pasta and pizza and desserts to choose from. Everything I have tried has been excellent in flavour and perfectly cooked and presented.The beverage menu is also good. Cocktails, beer, wine by the glass or bottle and other liquors and alcohol free drinks are not too expensive. People at the door welcome you and the waiters really do serve you. It was supposed to come medium rare but instead came very rare. Our waitress was very accommodating and offered to redo it but my wife opted instead to go with a Caprese salad. It was OK but not amazing which didn't quite mesh with the $19 price tag for it. I ordered the special pizza and it came with a crust that was somewhat soggy. Also, as it turned out it had far too many odd toppings on it. It sounded much more interesting on the menu than it actually tasted. I should have stuck with a simpler choice. Cocktails were great, the bartender was kind enough to make a drink that was off menu for the birthday boy. The best part by far is the service and staff. Everyone was so kind (hosts, support staff and such) but the highlight was our server Tony. He explained everything in full detail and narrowed down what kind of dish we should get and we weren’t disappointed. He was so attentive and kind, I look forward to coming back in the future! Great location. The atmosphere modern, friendly and inviting. It was busy, so I recommend reservations. Our server was Tony and he was on top of everything and very informative about the menu. In fact we felt like family eating here. So many choices for food, there is something for everyone. They have a regular menu, vegetarian menu and a spring menu. We asked to see the tasting menu that is mentioned on the regular and went with that. The tasting menu is 5 courses and well worth every penny. Bring your appetites. Administrator was friendly over the phone and kindly greeted us in person. Food was good: we ordered some appetisers, pizza, and pastas. Apps and pastas were excellent, but pizza was a bit dry. Our server Dmytro was very welcoming, polite and helpful the entire time. The place was elegant , packed & yet the ambience was soothing & pleasant due to the quietness of the place & low voices of the customers. Our friends had the Wild Boar Pasta, Steak Salad , whilst my wife had the Veg Pasta & I had the Veg Burger. A platter of Focasia bread too was offered with Balsamic Olive oil. All the dishes were excellent in taste & well prepared. I felt the portions of the Pasta's could have been a " shade larger" in quantity. Only Tomato Ketchup was offered with the Burger & I had to ask for Tabasco sauce to spice up the food. There were no Salt or Pepper cellars at the table & on request Salt was provided in a porcelin dish along with the Tabasco Sauce. (I felt a spicer sauce like Matouks etc would have enhanced the taste further . A Desert platter was offered & this was excellent in taste. The service was very good . Prices were on the higher side . The salient feature of the restaurant was the extensive separate Vegetarian Menu which had Starters, Pasta's, Pizza's , Burgers etc. The kitchen was visible through the Glass walls & one could observe the cleanliness & efficiency of the Restaurant. Food: We’ve been here a few times, and the lineup never disappoints. - Gnocchi: pillowy little clouds of happiness. - Bistecca: steak that makes you question why you ever bothered with your BBQ. - Seafood fettuccine: proof Poseidon might be moonlighting in the kitchen. - Margarita pizza: simple, classic, and the kind of pie that makes you forget delivery forever. Appetizer Highlight: The polenta fries are a must‑order. They start as creamy cornmeal cooked into a thick porridge, cooled until firm, then sliced into fry‑like sticks and crisped up. Six golden batons arrive with a spicy pomodoro sauce so good you’ll want to lick the ramekin. Honestly, they would pair perfectly with bread. Bread & Olive Oil: Here’s the kicker. Piva used to give bread and olive oil for free. Now it’s five bucks. Not a deal‑breaker, but let’s be honest paying for bread feels like being charged extra for air. Still, if you cave, that bread makes the perfect mop for the leftover polenta sauce, so you’ll forgive them by the last bite. Service: Ask for Darrel with two R’s. What I didn't quite understand was the seating choice. The restaurant wasn't full, yet we were seated right beside the door where it was cold and the draft kept coming in and we had a child with us, mind you. They did mive us to the next table when we requested it, but honestly, that shouldn't have been necessary. It's a no-brainer to seat guests in a more comfortable spot when there are plenty of open tables. I've noticed that this isn't unique to Piva - several restaurants seem to do the same - but it really does affect the overall dining experience.Posted on Google

Pretty good—though you might need to raise your voice a bit to talk over the noise. At that point, things were looking promising… until the food showed up. We started with focaccia, Brussels sprouts, and the big-ticket lobster risotto. The focaccia came out room temperature—kind of like it had been sitting around waiting for me instead of the other way around. At a mid-range Italian place, I was expecting warm, pillowy bread. And the olive oil–balsamic dip? Served in a tiny bowl, so it was basically all oil with a hint of vinegar—like salad dressing that gave up halfway. Then came the lobster risotto. Let’s just say it didn’t need salt for the next decade. Way too salty, to the point where it was less “lobster risotto” and more “ocean with rice.”Posted on Google

The spaghetti was nothing short of perfection: cooked al dente, coated in a rich, authentic sauce, and bursting with classic Italian flavor that tasted like it came straight from Italy. My only complaint, fruit flies or those mini flies around our table, sitting on our water and wine glasses. "Tamara" was really the star of the afternoon. Her suggestions were spot on and her knowledge of the menu was amazing. A dedicated vegetarian menu is a great option. Pricing is relatable to portion size and quality. Atmosphere is top class - a formal dining vibe, yet modern. Very professional and friendly staff greeted us at the hostess stand and we were seated immediately even though we were early for our reservation. We were sat in the bar area and were lucky enough to have Tony as our server. He was so knowledgeable about everything on the menu and had a wonderful sense of humor. My aperol spritz was refreshing and our dinner was delicious. My husband enjoyed 2 signature cocktails as well. We started out with the crab cakes and my husband and I enjoyed our pasta dishes. Tony helped us decide what to order and we finished our meal with coffee and 2 of the decadent desserts because we couldn’t decide on one. Sometimes trying a new restaurant is an iffy decision but the stars aligned and we had a great time. We plan to come back again very soon! Definitely a five star experience.Posted on Google

Definitely one of better pastas I’ve had lately. We ordered the Duck & Fig Pizza, but found it dry and as it needed some sauce. Service was professional and attentive. Nice modern decor inside. James CorbettJune 30, 2025Came here on 06/29/2025 for dinner before the Matt Rife show. The location is very close to New West SkyTrain so very easy to get to. The restaurant is classy yet casual inside and was very enjoyable. I had the Berry Mojito - Mixed berry, mint, lime, soda. This was very refreshing with well balanced flavors. I did not miss the alcohol aspect in anyway with this drink. We shared the Brussel sprouts that were crispy, well seasoned and with each bite you needed more. The star of the meal was the Duck & Fig Pizza - smoked duck, fig jam, asiago, apple, arugula, bacon. This was one of the best pizza's we both have ever had. All the flavors complimented each other and when you get the apple with fig it is just perfect. Never thought of apple on a pizza and now I will look for it. The staff were amazing and were not intrusive during the meal and seemed to know the perfect times to check in on us.Posted on Google

Arancini was unreal - perfect taste and texture. I’m not typically a huge mushroom fan, but the flavour was insanely good. The burrata was great! I think a balsamic glaze would have really been the cherry on top for me. Gnocchi were perfect little cloud puffs that basically melt in your mouth. I got the gochujang chorizo linguine and was pleasantly surprised! We ordered a couple cocktails as well and were definitely not disappointed. Check this place out out!Posted on Google
